This blog began as a trip diary, covering the experiences of Amyaz Moledina, Co-founder and former Director of Social Entrepreneurship, and Marianne Sierocinski, a junior Urban Studies major, as they traveled to Bangalore, Chennai, and Wooster Nagar, India to set up the inaugural Global Social Entrepreneurship (GSE) program. The trip was supported by the Smucker’s Fund for Global Ethics. The Blog now serves as the central clearing house of information for the Global SE program.
For any new followers of our blog, here is a more linear collection of pages detailing the beginning of our journey:
- Read our introductory post here.
- Click here to read about the history of social entrepreneurship at The College of Wooster.
- Check out our program vision for Global Social Entrepreneurship.
- Read about the various organizations that we met in India.
Many, many thanks to our fellow team members: Jessica DuPlaga, Gitika Mohta, Laura Valencia, Ben Welbourn — this program would not have happened without your dedication and hard work. We would also like to thank Dean Shila Garg and President Grant Cornwell for their support of this endeavor.
Hope you enjoy the blog! Comments and suggestions are always much appreciated.
